Interior Panel
Thin aluminum sheets to be used as door panels, taking the power door options out and going to crank window and just pushing the locks in and out. Somehow mounting the wiper switch on the door.
Making some type of door handle would be a must, and of course I would still be using the inner and outer door seals that press against the glass.
The thought is, if this would be cheaper, it would hold up better then the stock panels have. I would plan to powder coat them black since the interior is black and maybe have someone etched the c4 corvette emblem out so that would show in the shiny aluminum.
I thought the panels could be mounted with stainless steel rivets, but I do not know whats behind the door panels, i.e. is there any metal there to be riveted into?
Does this sound possible, has it been done, pictures? How much do you think it would cost to get this done?
