I am installing a one piece front clip on my 71 I also have new inner fenders. I have the inner fenders bolted to the radiator core support but how do I tell if the front clip is level? I think I read somewhere to install your rocker mouldings and go by that. as you know the front of a C3 is nothing but curves, any help is appreciated

i'm approaching this same point and have some thoughts (may be dangerous !). i think that i'll use the wiper door and grill to align the rear end of the clip. i have those pieces installed in relation to the birdcage, and they can't be easily moved due to their attachments. this could be an informative post.

The only way to really check the level on a car is to level the frame. That said, it doesnt guarantee that the car will actually sit level. But it will if the suspension is good. I do a lot of them and I level the frame to a flat floor datum. Then I know that the body will be right if the springs etc. are OK.
