Default Doing things backwards...again

So i dfid some aamazing graphic work on my 94. I painted it outside....but it is coming out great so far. BUT....there has been a 6 day lapse since I put the paint down. Now it's time to clear.....I need to clean the old paint and clear coat the entire car. What should I use on the old color before I clear it. I mean to clean the old color. Should I use the scrach and swirl remover first or laquor thinner or just dawn and water. Can't wash the whole car...it's papered and up on jack stands......I know I have to scuff the whole thing...but I want the old paint to look as good as the new paint....

He means a wax and grease remover product like PPG DX-330
