Foam eggcrate vs wool
Question is simple,,does the foam cut faster than the wool ?? considering your using the same compound.

When you cut a buff you want to use a wool pad,and then use a foam pad with a finsh glaze to remove the swirls.

That's how I do it.
I use the Schlegal wool pads on a power buffer and use the foam pad on a D/A for the finish glaze.
I've tried cutting with foam pads on a power buffer, but I've not had any luck doing that. Went back to the wool pads.
