Default 68 aem front end problems

I've got a problems with the front end on my 68 vette. We got the hood on and everything and are now lining the front end up and getting ready to glue it on but when it's all lined up, and you push between the light and hood area, the body pushes right down. Am I missing a piece that is supposed to reinforce this?

68 is a funny year... This is the only c3 to not have brackets that tie the ends of the header bar to the inner aprons. It is possible to retro fit these brackets, although slight movement is normal. Hope this helps.

There was a brace at the front of the nose, but as stated, no reinforcements at the header bar end. If it was mine, I would get some of those later brackets and install.
