How long to wait?
Just painted my 74 last sat. in lac. How long should I wait
to sand and buff? I have not painted a car in 25/30 yrs.
Am pleased as to how it came out. Pic are of day after. All input welcome.

At least one week, 2 weeks is better. You can sand and polish the day after you paint, but it will turn dull quickly, so the longer you wait for the solvents to evaporate, the better off you'll be. Make sure you use compounds and polishes designed for lacquer. Looks nice in the pics.
