In regards to cleaning the paint gun during the job. If you are example spraying epoxy for your base. You have a 10 to 15 minute flashtime between coats. Do you need to clean the gun in between coats and filling the cup up ? or do you finish spraying both coats of epoxy then do your cleaning of the gun before your next step which in my case is primer surfacer.
I tried to search but could not see anything, I just do not want to ruin a gun not knowing the correct method.
i allow much more time between coats. i rinse my gun out after each coat. i usually do only one heavy coat at a time. but i use epoxy for surfacing instead of 2k primers.

Dog: If youn don't use a primer surfacer, don't you have to wait a lot longer (2 -3 days) before you can sand Epoxy, or do you use a faster
seting epoxy then say PP G brand? I have tried to sand epoxy nubs to soon (not good)
i use spi epoxy. i do one coat at a time and block each one . i shoot a coat in the am and let cure over night. block the next morning and then set in the sun. there is nothing more important than cure time.
this is a link to the one i'm finishing now. done with spi epoxy / ppg concept / spi universal clear.
