This one is for all the novice painters like myself. Setting my garage up for another paint job on 72 Vet and decided to change out some lights. I have the recessed 48" flourescent lights, four to a unit. In the past have always used the lights with best price but today decided to go with the GE DAYLIGHT flourescent tubes. Kind of pricey at ten bucks for a pair at Wally World especially when I needed 24 to do the entire garage. The end result is amazing, I now have real white compared to almost yellow with the old tubes. They are well worth the added expense considering the change in color plus the additional brightness. I had thought about adding some extra lighting for this job but now it will not be necessary. Pretty cheap in the long run considering how the true colors are visible in my garage. Looking forward to my next Paint job!!
Thanks,
Norm
Annother tip on lights.
If you do a lot of sanding and painting in the garage you need to wipe the tubes down now and then or before a new session of paint. The tubes are static generators and you will be amazed how much stuff sticks to them.
