But what kind of stripe? hahahaha, and what color?
More to follow this week. The planning is now paint the stripe and apply 4 layer of clear, sand down to a smooth surface and finish it of with clear coat. Keep you posted!!!
Derek, thats not completely true the pictures where taken with multiple cameras/phones. The clear is only enhancing the depth of the color not changing the color itself.
Thanks Sully, me too. I think I need another year to finish it, Vette is now on a lower priority level. Saturday 2 weeks ago my daughter was born!!
Im almost in the same boat as you.... my 72 is almost stripped and disassembled but is still on jackstand in my garage b/c my daughter was born 9 weeks ago. I haven't done anything besides start it and let it run, flush and change the rear diff fluid, and some brake work... I am so ready to get the paint going!!!
Sleep, yes some. hahahaha, good thing that with number 3 you know it's a phase that is going to pass. I have spend 2 years sanding and repairing, it was time for a change. Finally some color, now that the fun part starts I have no time. hahahahah
Thanks!!!
I had some time today and it still looks awesome!!! I put the new carpet in and the right hand door. Slowly but steadily it is coming together.
Mine will be similar, but the center stripe will not be so wide, and I will be splitting it down the middle, and the rear of the car will still be red, instead of black like the stripe.
Thanks, Should be finished by now, but had a couple of setbacks. Compressor and PC - gun broke, waiting for parts BUT I am moving forwards slowly. The past 2 weeks are better, pc-gun came in, headlamps fit perfect, rear suspension is in again. Tonight I going to finalize aligning the Bellhouse. Hopefully I can put the front end in by next week so I can move the car again and hopefully put the engine back by the end of April.
