soda can come back to haunt you . any residue at all will cause serious paint problems. most painter i know simply will not chance it anymore . my supplier and many others will not warranty over soda blast. i researched it before opening my media blast shop. type6 acrylic or corn cob works far better and leaves no residue.

Our soda blast guy takes off most of the paint and leaves a thin layer of primer to be sanded off by us before we start work on the car. He doesnt go all the way down to the glass, understanding that we wil be sanding the glass anyway before we start bodywork. A good soda blast pro will be able to take the paint off in layers as needed.whether you use chemical strippers,or soda blasting, you will NOT have any problems if the procedure is done properly. Most issues of the type are due to human error.
