I am preping my 1985 black corvette first paint job ever! I have never done this before here are some before shots

http://s283.photobucket.com/albums/kk284/shamvoodoo/

I would like to prep this my self and i am getting all kinds of advice

What sand paper do i start with?
move up to
and end with?

What do i use on the bumpers (sand paper remover ect)

how do i get rid of the Spider webbing on the bumpers

Do i use block or a Duel action sander

Single Stage or Laqure and Clear?

can i use a light body filler on a deep scratch?

do i paint the bumpers with the same paint?

Any and all advice will be appreciated

and if you live in Cincinnati and want to help paint this Ill buy the beer!

Get a good how-to book on auto painting.

With all the questions you asked here, it would take a book length reply to answer all your questions.

Buy the paintucation video. Kevin Tetz paints a C4 in it and all you questions will be answered. As far as the spider webbing on your bumper, I think that means a replacement....
