69 front surround/hood alignment help please

69 front surround/hood alignment help please
I am in no way a "body man". My question is, would there be a reasonable way to shim the nose of this '69 to so that it is level with the hood or would this require something more drastic?
Things I know from looking, the hood is not being forced up by the core support: there are no shims under the hood hinges: yes the car has at some time in the distant past had front end damage repaired: it sure appears to be a GM hood.

you will have to loosen the whole front end, bumper, core support, Everything.
you might be able to raise the front end enough, thats a big gap.
you did not mention what your door gaps look like, and this may change that,
your in for a major job, you also don't show how the side edges of the hood & fender line up.
You should have done that before that pretty paint. good luck...69VETT

1. As you can see, the door gaps are fine. You are right I should have mentioned this.
2. The hood is flush with the lateral edges of the surround, save for the previously shown front edge.
3. Telling me it's a big job and a lot of things need to be loosened is fine but you didn't offer what's needed after that.
4. Had I owned the car before its "pretty paint" job you can rest assured I would have had it done right to save me from having to solicit help now.
Any suggestions on how to correct this situation are welcome.
