I use the Gold, I think it sands easier. Also i dont use a cheese grater i like knocking it down when it just starts to tighten up,with 40grit,then go from there.
Also use rage extreme suppose to have fewer pinholes. If you mix it good and tight wipe it you wont have many anyway.Finish with evercoat polyester , tight wipe very thin, just in case.then finish with 220-330,prime it.No scratches, means none can come back. Happy sanding
I have a can of Rage filler, but have heard here that folks like using Rage gold.
Is there a significant difference between the two products?
Can I use the Rage on my car?
The area that I am repairing is on the rear valance and is not a large area.
Any concerns?
Thanks
I, Professionally, never use Rage, Rage Gold on a Corvette....eventhough many people do...which is fine....who am I to judge how you repair your car. But if you are trying to fill in a crack...it will not work for long....especially on a part that may flex. Rage and Rage Gold are a lightweight filler....and not an adhesive that has the heavy body to it to repair structural damage. You did not mention on how extensive the repair is...so I do not want to say use it if it is something that will require a product that has a higher structural repair capability.
