How to pick a red
Went to a car show and found a red that I like. The owner of the car told me it was 1991 Chrysler r4 red. I can't seem to find it online. How can I get a small sample (less than a quart) and spray it on a small panel to verify that it is the one.

Go to any automotive paint supplier. They can look up the color and match it. I purchased a 4 oz can of my Guards Red - use it for touch ups. Let me add - Red paints fade pretty good. The color you see today may NOT be exactly as it was when painted.

Back in 1999 when I had my 80 stripped and color changed to Red, the owner of the shop told me to go to every car dealer in town, look at the reds ON the cars, write down the year, make model and return and report. He then mixed, painted and gave me several 6"x10" color panels and said to look at them for at least a week before I made up my mind. This worked out GREAT. I ended up with GM Chevy Bright Red. It looked FANTASTIC on my Vette! See below..
It took 6 months to get my appointment and 3 months for the job to be complete, as they basically took the car apart to do the color change from Brown to Red. Totally worth the wait and the $$$$$ spent!
