Not a corvette but hope someone will help anyway:

I would like to remove the plastic rocker panel molding.
This is the piece that mounts to the lower side of the body and rests against the door sill.
Would like to remove it to repaint the door sill edge which is rusting.

How do you remove this molding?
Do I need a special tool?
