Door Opening Frame Replacement:
Removal Procedure:
1. Disable SIR system
2. Disconnect negative battery cable
3. Visually inspect for damage to the frame rails oor wheelhouse mounting areas. Repair.....
4. Remove all panels and components to gain access to door side frame. The door side frame can be removed if the quarter panel is loosened from it. This may include removeal of the following components:
- door
- quarter panel
- quarter panel inner spash shield
5. Remove latch striker closeout cover and striker
6. Remove the trim screws that attache the side door frame panel to the rail. These screws must be re-installed to secrure the service panel in place until the adhesive cures.
NB Ensure that the fule inslet is sealed before proceeding with the repair procedure.
7. Use caution along the underside of the vehicle when applying heat not to de-bond the floor panels from the frame rail.
8. Apply heat and pry to break bond along area (1)
