Which Black
I want to paint under the hood and some of the brackets with semi-flat black. I don't want to use something out of a can and want a 2 part paint that will be more durable. should I look for something like they used to put on the hood of cars? Don't know what to ask for at the paint store.

Spies Hecker has a product called Rallye Matte Black that is a two component single stage semi flat black. It has the right gloss for under hood. Dupont owns Spies Hecker so your local Dupont jobber store may have it.
