C-1 Hardtop
restored my 61 hardtop a 6 years ago and the old upper rear window retainer strip (the one that goes inside the chrome dress molding) was no long available, mine was to rusted to keep so I ended up buying and installing the polycarbonate retainer that was advertised as a much better strip by a well known exclusive C-1 parts house that lasted 2 years until turning to dust! I replaced the strip again 3 years ago (same strip same company) and now it has gone the way of the first one. Does anyone know if someone makes or sells the original retainer strip? I can make my own but an original type replacement would be great. Appreciate any help.

Was able to locate an original steel molding strip on ebay. cheaper than the polycarbonate one and works and fits so much better, Corvettelady in San Diego had it (Mary Jo) been able to get alot of C1 NOS parts and the real hard to find stuff.
