Clear coat
The clear coat on the nose of my 64 is looking kind of dull and worn.To re-clear just the nose, how do you think it will match? I'm not much of a paint expert. Thanks Billy

Since the nose of your 64 had no clear when it left the factory it seems we're looking at a repaint of some sort. Unless you can determine what and when that repaint is/was reclearing is likely to make the substrate "blow up" and look bad, peel, discolor or otherwise eff up. Don't try it. Save up, quit smoking, give up the nasty websites and swear off the Canadian pharmaceuticals. Have (or do it yourself) the car stripped and refinished.

some people just wet sand the clear coat and go with a clear piece of vinyl that really puts the shine back into the car paint. Even though the shine is from a piece of plastic sticker.. its almost impossible to tell.

It's not easy to just re coat on old color, as it doesn't matches same on your old color. You have to look for expert around you. It will be more easier and safer because an experience person can only give you result as you wanted.
