I have a 79 that is in really good shape... other than the minor damage someone did to the front bumper. watching eBay and Craigslist I got a great deal on a new fiberglass front bumper and the 78 pace car front air dams. I also got a new rear spoiler. I think most of the fiberglass came from the people in Ohio, I don't remember the name, ACS? good stuff, no damage.
My question. the rear bumper is in good shape but it is not perfectly flat and the new rear spoiler is, what do you do to make the gaps smaller? or do you use body filler and make them go away?
My gaps on the front bumper were close to 1/2 inch. that I used fiber taper and resin, filled the gaps, sand, body filler, block sand, fill, block sand.... on and on. its starting to become flat, just taking a while. I also Have some smaller gaps around where the front air dams fit the lower fenders but with the car on the ground you almost cant see them.
