BIG improvement over "regular" clay bars
My recently inherited 2003 Buick Century looked spotless, but felt like sandpaper when I ran my fingertips across the paint.
I liked the info on the Griot's Garage Synthetic Clay, so I gave it a shot...claying a car is no longer something I dread doing!

If you're not familiar with it, here's the Cliff notes:
1. MUCH more comfortable & ergonomic to use than conventional clay bars.
2. Don't have to toss if you drop it - just plunge in your bucket of suds & rinse off any grit.
3. Lasts MUCH longer (they say 24 cars).
4. So darn easy to use - after washing car, just slap some more suds on the car & use the soapy water as the lubricant - work the pad in both directions to remove contaminants.
Took very little time to do the Buick, and when finished, when you run your fingertips over it, you'd swear you had just waxed the car.
No sign of contaminants, but I was surprised at how slick the paint felt.
Of course, I followed with a polish & wax - first time I'd tried out my new toy (Griot's G9 Random Orbital Polisher).
When I bought mine at AutoZone, I got a freebie from Griot (don't remember what kind of $16 or so spray it was) but had to fill out paperwork for rebate. I bought another thru Griot's site (ordered enough stuff for free shipping) and they just tossed the freebie in there (no rebates to mess with).
