Friend had an accident as they were unloading it from a trailer the car rolled down the trailer car went into the garage and hit a file cabinet dead on the center. From what i have been reading a Polyester resin and regular mating will be ok to repair the *** end, if you look closely the rear body panel and the top rear body panel got damged. I wanted to ask if the fiberglass work, body work is done will applying gel coat to seal the surface so it is stable and the surface wont move in future.

1 - look at the back side - see was it cracked
2 - your going to have to strip the paint back as see how back the damage is - wont know until you strip it
once stripped you can get a game plan
Mat and resin will work fine
Then polyester primer
then a 2k primer
Then sealer and paint
