Brand new to the corvette world, I got a 1978. It has front end damage and I dont know if I can repair the damage in the pictures or not. Any ideas are welcomed I have never done fiberglass work before but I am willing to try.

Zunic,
You may want to go ahead and get a new left fender and bonding strip. I think your old fender is beyond repair. Corvette Central is a good place to get one.
I have a new nose that I have had for several years I would make you a deal on.

Few thoughts for you:

You can do it if you study a bit and are willing to try. Everybody was a beginner once.
Still the best resource I have found. One CD for the front and another for the rear.

Second, I think you can go either way and repair or replace the damage. I know some pro's that prefer to replace the whole fender and hood surround. Others I know will repair and put the pieces back together. Realistically a 78 (at least today) is not a high dollar collector, so I would likely repair what you have. It would be easier if you have the broken pieces to work with. Otherwise you will need to lay in some fiberglass and rough in curve to match. All doable, but takes some persistence and work. These Glas Ra CD's outline that and more. Also you really need to get a 78 Assembly Instruction Manual (on ebay or Corvette vendor as it is helpful to see how all is put together and what other parts you will need. Good luck and hope this helps.

The upper surround panel will need replaced
The fender is probably savable but wont know until it is stripped and dissassembled
This is not a novice repair - this will take some one who knows what they are doing
Best left to a professional on this one.
Look at parts from Corvette Image - They actually make the parts - Corvette Central does not - they are a reseller.
