66 roadster body work done primer blocked primed again. Want a little darker silver but still small metal flake. Don’t want larger flakes like on new silvers. Question is if I use black primer will that darken silver?
It can darken it I would use a light grey as a sealer .Also you will need less paint to cover.Silvers can be harder to spray for beginners.I have a special Iwata spray gun for hard metalics and pearls.
Do you know which silver you are gonna use? Can always do a test patch or use a scrap piece of metal to get a preview.
Metallic really shows off body lines and can help disguise imperfections in the body.
Silver with that wetlook always looks good and clean. Stays cool inside like white also.
Just know its "invisible" to most drivers.
That is a concern! The new trend in colors I see a lot of greys. They nearly match the color of the road. Leaning toward Cortez silver. Will do some spray outs to evaluate!
