Why only one section? I would probably take the grill out and repaint the whole thing so it all matches. I wouldn't spray can it. Buy some good automotive paint and spray it with a spray gun.
Each piece in the grill is separate, the dealership where I bought it painted that one section the wrong color when they replaced it. I was looking for a suggestion for a quality rattle can paint to just fix the one piece. I don’t have any painting equipment.

Don't know if they have NAPA stores in your area, but this is what I used on some of the trim pieces on Corvettes in the past.
They carry various finishes, matte, satin, gloss.
I also added Ceramic Coating over the pieces when they were finished, and they have held up and look as new 6+ years later.
There are aerosols through "SprayMax" they sell all sorts of colors and of course black but they also sell 2k products in primers and also clear... their glamor 2k clear works great, there is a button you put on the bottom of the can, pop the button and it releases the hardener into the clear in the can... will last about 48 hours before it hardens in the can.
Remember black is not black and won't show the true color till light hits it so I would paint all parts that bump to each other with black and clear it with the spray max clear if you don't have the means to spray 2k clear with a gun and compressor... nice glass on the spray max 2k clear
I need to repaint one grill section on my C7. It looks like a standard gloss black, will any automotive paint do?
For a single grill section repair, using a standard gloss black automotive paint can be a suitable option. However, to ensure the best possible result, it's still advisable to use high-quality automotive paint that matches the original color and finish of your car. This will help achieve a seamless and professional appearance.
Before painting, make sure to properly clean and prepare the surface, removing any debris, contaminants, or old paint. Follow recommended painting techniques, and consider using a clear coat over the paint to provide additional protection and enhance the gloss.

The NAPA stores in mid Michigan where I live will mix paint to factory code and put it in an aerosol can. It costs about 24 dollars per can, which is cheap compared to buying everything separately and mixing it.
