I will selflessly volunteer to help out a Corvette brother in need. I'll take a couple of days off and drive it around to break it in

I havn't been on here in a month or so and I can't remember the shops names but do a search or post something about them.

That is going to be one scary car! Sideways at 125 mph? WOOFA!

Good luck with it, and hope it stays straight for whomever drives it down the track!

Sounds like a BEAST~!!!!!

Just curious if Lingenfelter makes a better system and thats why you suggested that he went that route. I'm sure the owner picked the best shop for the required upgrades.

MikeJames,
Let me elaborate on that. Back in 99 I picked up my vette for 52G's.Get the point.
No I did not spent over 100 g's on this set up. And why I didn't go to Lingenfelter you ask, cause every step of the road I had a say in this project. And to me thats way more exciting than handing over a check and getting your car back in 4-5 months.
Why don't you call Lingenfelter and ask him how much it would cost to build a 1000 hp vette? Trust me its not that price you see advertised on the site. So before you go around questioning people actions why don't you do some research.

I've done the research so don't start getting all worked up. I wasn't trying to be a dick but I didn't ask you how much your car cost and neither did anyone else. I asked how much did this set-up cost. Thats a little mis-leading. I didn't question your actions. I said for that price you should have went to Lingenfelter. Thats not a question. So before questioning what I said have someone read this for you.

Hold up Mike,
I'm not the one marketing this kit. I just simply stated how much money I have invested in my hobby. I was not answering your question on how much this kit costs. I have no clue, if you really want to know either PM The Vette Doctors or call them 631 841 0779. I apologize for any confusion this might have caused you.

Thats ok. No big deal.
Just so everyones knows I think The Vette Doctors are awesome. If I took my car anywhere it would to them, Cartek or ECS. Bowerboys car is insane. But when you said 6 figures that was a little crazy.

Why the does the throttle body have a wire on a C5?

Holy Chit Batman!
All I can say is "40 psi".... Daaaaaaaaaayum.

If you can keep that peach together with that much boost, you'll have a heck of a time keeping her planted in 6th gear doing 55 mph

Congrats on building your very own baby with the Docs. Nice job guys!

The only way to get a stand alone computer to work on a vette is by adding a throttle cable. Thats all I know. The technical info as to why, I dont quit remeber.

I'm not comparing at all......

But I was at 21stCMC the other day getting a dyno test and they had a 04 Comm. Ed. Z06 with the 427 Twins and it put out something like 1100HP+ and the owner was there having them adjust things to his liking, we talked a bit, he said with his tubbed 12" slicks, he can't keep traction at 60mph when nailing it......12" slicks and no traction at speed!!!!!??? that's awesome, I'm sure Gus is in the same predicument.
I've heard the guys up there having the same talks of 120mph and going sideways. Must be a neat kind of scary feeling...

Scary? Try 158 m.p.h. through the lights, with the car accelerating, breaking loose and getting sideways. That's scary.

90-120 m.p.h. and loose(on a turn or sideways) just makes me nervous. Even when racing on the track on a level surface. Throw an elevation and pitch change, in there. There is nothing neat about it.

Loose at 60 m.p.h., yawn, normal everyday driving. Really.
