Heads & Cam Help

I need to get input on what HP and general results anybodys had with LPE's 500 Head & Cam package. Also will it pass Massachusetts emisssions.

Try posting on LS1Tech...many knowledgeable people over there on heads and cams.

I've got the LPE package minus the ls6 heads, (used ported ls1 to save money). They proposed they could make between 475 and 480 horses at the crank. My car is great on the street, and it's wild when I get on it. At idle you can just barely tell that's it cammed. It runs great as far as idle and street manners and I would highly recommend the package. LPE is a great shop with a great reputation and the folks there are really good to work with. You'd have to ask them about emissions legal in your state though. I think they say that the package is not California emissons legal, if that helps any.

In Massachusetts you will pass emissions providing that your car is not throwing any error codes considering they use the OBDII connector and don't put it on the runner...

I just got my car back Saturday from LPE in Decatur. The experiance was wonderful, I cannot write about it here(not enough time). My 03 Z06 dynoed at 427RR HP so if you do the math 427/.83=514. This is the equation LPE used. It runs like H_ll is all I can say. I have not stood on it from a complete stop. I am not sure I want to. Do not hesitate to have anything done at LPE. I love the idle and it is not difficult to drive in traffic at all. Do not know about emissions, I would give them a call, if they do not know about the emissions thing, I bet they will try like h_ll to find out.
