ECS 447 runs a number
Anyway, this was done last night at Cecil, and I believe with a DA~2000, so not ideal conditions. Granted, this is no "pump gas" engine, but it is impressive none the less.
Well this was my first run in the 10's with me driving. Here's the breakdown:
1.88 60'
5.07 330'
7.40 1/8@111.07 MPH
9.18 1000'
10.95@138.42 MPH
Alot of room for improvement but I'm trying. Thanks to Doug & Chris and all the guys at East Coast. This run was made with BFG Drag Radials and more than a half tank of fuel and no skinnies up front. For me I'm happy and once I replace my clutch things should hopefully get better.
Mind you, I spoke with Mario this morning, and he came out at 3000 rpm, since he has a clutch that is on its last legs. He also said he shifted fast and firm, but not as aggressively as he could (he wanted to get home to Staten Island in his car
). I think with some good air in the fall, a new clutch capable of holding this beasts power, and a CCW drag package (and maybe a 1/4 of a tank of gas
) we might see a 9's from this car. The mph are indicative of the power of this ECS built 447.

Has anybody gone faster with a C5 NA ls1 block?
And if you've met Mario, he's not a "jockey" by any means.

I think Mario will have something to say about that comment Don. Good to see you & Mario today. I can't believe the day has deteriorated into pouring rain from the weather this morning at Etown.
Kuddos to Mario & ECS. The car has a lot more in it I'm sure.

I'm not sure if this has ever occured with anyone's car on this forum
but like I said, Mario is a little bigger than a jockey.

To quote another famous poster at this site "it's all in the tune."
Just kidding guys but all aside we'll keep you posted as we run more numbers down the track. That will tell you all you need to know about the tune.

....don't want anyone stealing the "tune"....LOL.

Nice runs Mario, A season worth of seat time, slicks and skinny's, maybe even a mild attemp at weight reduction, and Your in the nines in my opinion.
600+ RWHP N/A.........nah, can't be done.
