Default First time @ track w/ my 98 --??Normal???

Completly stock and I ran a 13.72 @ 98 mph...

Is that about normal? It was pretty warm and dry out that day. I know I was dissapointed so what do I do... I added LG Longtubes, borla stingers, msd wires, NGK plugs, LS6 intake, and Halltech stinger.

Hopefully I do better next time.

Your ET is very much in the ballpark for a hot day, MPH is a little slow, 2.73's by chance? Also, what is the elevation at the track you were running, makes a diffrence. As always, YMMV. Jeff

Your MPH is way low...I just went for the first time thurs in my 04'C5. I ran 13.2@108 MPH. With just a Cat back exhaust and Vararam. And my friend with a 99'C5 ran 13.1@109.5 mph. He has a K&N intake, Corsa cat back exhaust, and a dyno tune. And it was hot and very humid here in south Texas. Like 93 degs. and 60% humidity. Somethings not right, Have you had your car tuned after the headers? You might want to take it to a performance shop that works on LS1's. You are definately down on power...No matter you time, the MPH gives you a good idea of what kind of HP you are making..

First of all is your car an M6 or an A4? A 98 MPH trap speed is low no matter which one you have especially if you have an M6(assuming you are at or near sea level). If you have an A4 with 2.73 gears 13.72 in hot weather is in the normal range.

The headers and Halltech intake will give you the biggest boost in performance. The other mods you did won't give you much in the way of performance. Unless your plugs and wires were bad and really needed to be changed. An LS6 intake will give you little or no gain on an engine that is internally stock.

If you have an A4 with the stock converter & 2.73 gears. You need to get rid of the stock converter & 2.73s. Go with a T/C with more stall and 3.42 or 3.73 gears. If you have an M6, 3.90 or 4.10 gears will really wake your car up.

Sum Ding Wong! I cannot diagnose why the low mph but I agree with the others. My 1st runs in my 02 aoto with Blackwing and corsas was 13.5 at 103.6 mph in Phx. Az. at 100 degree temp. I'm sure you can do better once your fine tuned. Good luck.

I just looked at your mods and I bet your MAF has issues, are you getting any codes. I'd see if you can get the car scanned and see what is going on, you should be much faster and quicker. Jeff

A few weeks back at Vette Magic a friend of mine`s wife ran a couple of 12.9`s and a 13.1 on {supposedly} a stock 01 convert with auto. The only mod I was told was computer programming. He didnt buy the car new so maybe there was more to it than he knows.
