Glad you lucked out....i'm not so impressed by their service, quality or lacking devotion to safety.

I would be extremely upset if my tuner disabled ANY safety equipment in my car. In MTI's defense, they only had Jons car for the better part of a year.

I too have had issues with MTI but you truely can't appreciate someones customer service until there is a problem. If you do alot of business with any one company you will eventually run into some unforeseen circumstances.I know MTI was far behind on getting cars out (mine being one of them) but I believe they are caught up now.I hope to have mine back this week but I know they are dealing with issues out of their controll and I can except that.

The internet is a great tool to learn about our cars and who works on them but some of these complains are rediculous. You get some of these like my friend's uncle's best friend's sister's brother had a problem back in 1998.

Shannon,

1. Im sure you rec. Jayson's reply to your email yesterday 8\10. I understand from your email that you picked up some HP. Thats great!

2. No where in your email/or this post do you discuss the significant labor and tuning discounts that were given to you. You also did not want to purchase a new converter at the time we specified the project so we sold you a used, take out converter for $275.00 that our customer (who's car we took it out of) assured us was fine. We did not check or warranty that converter and sold it to you on an "as is" basis. The gears you provided us were also used as well.

3. Nor did you discuss the brand new computer that we sent at no charge to you....(my memory does escape me from time to time, if Im wrong please correct me....)

Yes I agree that the power of the internet is a great tool for the public, assuming you present both sides of the story.

Chris
1) Relative to any parts that we may have negelected to install on Jon's car, MTI has compensated him fully for those. I think he'll agree that we were more than fair in that regard.

2) Other issues? Let's just say that there are two sides to every story and given the verifiable condition that Jon's car arrived in and the additional (30 - 40 plus hours) of labor we put in and didn't charge Jon for, I don't feel the need to defend our position on this again. Jon has his car and seems to be pleased with it so as far as I'm concerned, case closed.

My mistake on the price.I was off and i apologize.I was told 400 weather or not you did the rear end at the same time, but you worked over the price to fit my budget.

I really wish we could have talked about this months ago when i was having the problems in the first place. It was near impossible to get a responce though.I have read and responded to the email that jayson sent me and i think i have blown off enough steam.
And if you would like to read alot more post where i praised(you)Jeff at mti for sending me a new computer, you would understand my biggest issue is not getting an answer when i had simple questions.
In fact i have about 7 posts in various threads talking about your gestures, and help with the entire thing and sending me the new pcm.You went out of your way on that. You worked with me on price, and i felt welcomed. When this revived post was written,i wasnt able to even get a returned call.I was pissed!
Not once have i asked for anything back exept help getting my car running right again. And not by you sending me anything or fixing it,just advice, and a copy of the tune so i could put it on the second pcm, which had the incorrect tune on it.

Now that im actually getting some anwsers,i belive we can go our ways and learn a lesson.

My lesson,If im going to go to a performance shop, dont go out of my way for service.I could have got what i got from a dealership here in mo,in terms of "after the sale" service. Before the sale was amazing and i really do appreciate you Jeff.

Mti's lesson,Never deal with shannon again.He's an ***.

Shannon,
We (I) will deal with you, no problem. You are in no way an ***, nor did/would imply that you are one.... I enjoyed talking with you guys when you were here. I just wanted to have these things ironed out....thats it......Jeff.
