Default Drag tips for a A4 SC

Took it out to the track for time laps and need some advice with improving lap times R/T and launches.

I'm running a Procharger 6 psi, 42lb inj., ,224/224 581/581 with ported stage II heads. kooks 1 /34 borla catbacks, Level 5 trans, TCI 3500 TC, 2.42's with Nito DR's.

Have not dyno'ed yet and is running rich and tuning is the best I could do with PC Tuners. Assuming I am at 550 RWHP or so -

I ran 3 runs at 12.914,12.916 and 12.933
take in consideration that my R/T's were terrible.
1st run at 1000 RPM (idle) to WOT at the tree
2nd 300 rpm launch
3rd run 2500 launch.

at 3/4 track, I was hitting the rev limiter and had to let off WOT each run

Here are the questions:
What is the best procedure for practicing reaction times?
Is it possible that my R/T's over 1 second is part of the problem?

I have HAL adjustible shocks - whats the best setting for drags?

I did not release air from the DR's - I ran at 32 lbs. - What would be a good starting point for drags at wat bar./temps at the track?

Should I run full tank for weight at the rear?

Since I have a TCI 3500, should I allways launch at this RPM?
I did spin for 50+ feet on the second run, but tire pressure, shock settings might improve the traction?

Ok, now the part tha's killing me - I am hitting the rev limiter in the top of 3rd - what can i do to avoid this (using PC tuners)
I have adjusted the torque vs. rpm vs. gear tables but can't get it right!

Thanks to all who can offer advice...

First, your R.T. has nothing to do with your E.T. If your R.T. is .500 or 1.7, is have no affect on your E.T.

Second, you need to let air out of your tires and do a smokey burnout. I had good luck with 20-22 psi in BFG drag radials. Get them wet, then spin them till you see smoke for a couple seconds. Since you're running nittos, you'll need to smoke them for a little longer if you want to hook.
As for shock settings, do a search here. IIRC, you want to stiffen up the back of the car, and loosen the front. So 2 up front 6 or 7 in the rear. If that doesn't help, go lower in the rear.

Just curious, what were your 60's and 1/8th's (et and mph)?

I don't have to time slips with me, but I believe My 60' times were 1.8-1.9 and 1/6 around 8 ish. I have a Vert with a supercharger not nitrous. Since I'm hitting the rev limiter a 3/4 pass and have to let up and mash again, I'm sure this is losing time here. I just can't believe that all 3 runs are as bad as I thought they would be - thinking I would at least be in the low 11's.

kawoods....as said by Face ... plus...if tranny shift points and rev limit have not been adjusted for 3:42 rear gears - that could be cause (?) then you need LS1-edit tune from a good speedshop....your launch sounds fine but need to drop air down significantly in tires, do a healthy burn-out.

I set my Hal shocks at one or two click from being the softest. I would say 16 to 20 lbs of air in DR hot. I like to run 3/8s to 1/2 tank of fuel. I lauch mine at 2000 to 2300 rpms on the line. Can up shift point RPMs if u can or turn on lockup converter if your converter has HD lockup clutch in it.
just my setting with my car!
