OK since my first tune represented in blue on oct10 2004 I have added 4.10 gears 90mm LSX intake and a 90mm ls2 TB and had retune done today represented in red on the dyno sheet.

My peak HP stayed the same but I lost some HP thru the curve and lost about 14 pounds of torque. Does this seem right considering the mods listed in my sig?

You will lose a little going to the 4.10's- some say up to 8-10 rwhp. I lost about 4 or 5 with 3.73's. Scott

I expected some loss with the 4.10's but I expected the 90mm setup to offset that plus maybe 5 to 10hp extra.

The tune in Oct of 04 was with an LS6 manifold, stock LS1 TB, and stock 2000 LS1 MAF.

Todays tune also had stock MAF but the 90mm set up.

I was told by the shop they dont see much in the way of results with the 90mm setup on stock 346 cubic inch motors and that most of the time a 78mm setup is better.

I here the same. On a stock cube 346, the LS6 intake and stock throttle body are best..A 224 cam just cannot support enough airflow for that big of an intake. The only way you would probably see a gain over the LS6 intake is if you went with a monster cam in the 240 range that could take advantage of the extra airflow of the 90mm setup. Of course you would loose that nice drivability with that big of a cam to..

That is not uncommon. 346 does not need a 90mm intake, especially with that mild of a cam. The LS6 is hard to beat on a stock cube NA engine.

Damn brother sorry to hear about the lack of gains... Gues the FAST 90 and 90 TB I have been looking at just isn't going to happen. 2k$ installed and tuned for maybe 10hp?

Take the FAST 90mm intake off and have someone who knows what they are doing, like Tony at AFR, do a velocity port job on the intake. You'll be happy with this mods especially after head/cam upgrades.

Here is what a stock FAST runner looks like.
