Is there anything to gain by going from a 2 1/2" Xpipe to a 3" Xpipe.

I switched, figured it wouldn't hurt and after spending all the other money (as we have similar set ups) what was a few extra bucks, and I sold the old x-pipe. Oh by the way that's one hell of an awesome aviator pic...
Thanks
My X pipe is 3" back to the end of it where it tapers off to 2 1/2 and my extension pipes 2 1/2 connect and go to my Catback. So I was wondering if it would make a difference going all the way back to my catback at 3". I don't know if theres anything to gain from this as my Catback is 2 1/2. Maybe just a stupid question ?
That Avatar puts a smile on my face every time I'm on this site
Thanks

I just dynoed 427 with fast 90 NW 90 kooks 1 7/8 with 3" with B&B triflows 2 1/2 ". It put down 528 RWH with a4 locked. I disconected the cat back and only dynoed 532 RWH. I reconected the cat back, hit it with a 300 shot and put down 800 RWH
Ran last Sat. 10.82 @ 128 motor
9.79 @ 138 on 300 shot. Lifted 100 ft from lights car walked a little.
After thinking about it, I can't see how going to a 3" to the Catback would give me much,as it is 2 1/2, so no matter how big the pipe is before the cat, I'm still at 2 1/2"
Thats crazy power you are making, I'm thinking about a 100 shot after I'm done with my ride and get it dialed in. I should be around 440 to the wheels, and would like to see tens.
