Hey guys, new here and somewhat new vette owner (June 05). I've seen a wide variety of E.T's for fairly stock cars with ranges of high 12's to even low 14's (kinda sad huh). I've got a White 99 Coupe with a 6 speed with 321rwhp. Mods include B&B bullets and a Mti ram air induction, nothing else. My first time to the track was as follows:
Indianapolis Raceway Park- Car And Driver 50th Anniversary-July05
Conditions were horrible, about 98 degrees with very high humidity
R/T:.056
60':2.185 -horrible i know, but a was spinning through 2nd everytime running some cheapo Kuhmo Estca All-seasons
1/8:8.459@87.26
1/4:12.888@110.97
2nd time to the track- Brainerd International Raceway-Oct05 (good ol MN)
Conditions were great about 45 degrees no other issues.
R/T:.019
60':1.719

My point/question to all this is do I have something special with this car?I know some cars just run better out of the box or Do I just know what I'm doing? Any input? I've taken down a few 02 or newer Z06's, 1 01 Z06, 2 C6's and other C5's dont even come close. (take into condsideration and that all were stock except the 01 had Corsa and a K&N-not bad eh?).
oh yes, the 2nd trip to the track i had 305/35/18 Nitto 555R's on my new chrome Z06 rims@ 25psi....had some bad runs early in the morning when it was about 35 degrees, still managed some 1.9 60' but the lost traction in high rpm 2nd gear and through third started getting squiggley...worst of a 13.4@109
forgot to mention....best e.t i also missed 4th and and was completely off-throttle through the gates and however long you'd normally be in 4th (maybe a 12.2-12.3 was in order?).
