I have a 98 coupe 6spd with base suspension. I have put together the following list of parts and would like to get your opinion on how you guys think she's going to perform once installed. Z06 springs, Z51 sway bars with Hotchkis end links and Z06 shocks. Just wanted to know is this going to be a drastick change from base sus. or a slight one? Opinions welcome as well as constructive criticism

I did the same upgrade last year. I have '04 with base suspension and upgraded to Z06 springs/sways, already had metal endlinks due to mfr yr. and went with Bilstein sport shocks.
A considerable difference from the stock musho setup. Increased road feel that, for me, was just right. A little harsh on long trips or bumpy roads, but much more precise handling.
In tight cornering, the car was very level far beyond what it used to be. Unexpected and rapid lane changes were much more stable and the car didn't overcorrect itself. Not sure if that is understeer/oversteer, but it was a welcome change.
I can't wait to get back to some road courses this year to really see the difference.
I do NOT miss the mushy suspension, but my set up may be too rough for others. I agree with John and that it feels just like Z06's I've test driven.

Remember it this way understeer means it is not steering good. So it is trying to go straight not wanting to react much when you turn the steering wheel. This is also called Push so picture someone pushing your car forward or straight.
Oversteer means when you turn the steering wheel the car really turns to much or fast, almost starting to spin. So they call it oversteer. They also call it Loose because the back is swinging around like it is loose.

"I see saith the blind man" Thanks.
You know I still haven't experienced steering as accurate as the little Porsche 914 I bought in the mid 80's. It was a '76 with the 2.0 and man did that thing move where you pointed it. And that was the poor man's Porsche!
My Uncle had an '86 911 SC and it didn't feel as tight as the 914. In tight twisties, if felt like the front was dancing.
Wish the Vette felt that tight. Maybe it would be too much for the power were making.
