I did my first autocross in almost a year yesterday and the first since I had the SDPC 402 installed. I put on a drivers clinic on what too much horsepower/torque will do for a driver that isn't used to it! Even with the 305 autocross tires, they would break loose anywhere on the course. I haven't had the motor dyno tuned yet, but I am willing to bet I have at least another 150 HP to the rear wheels than my old motor (old motor had 405 HP to the real wheels).
John and Marty with SDPC really did a great job and were very helpful to me in getting the motor built. They built a motor for me that is so strong I ran my worst autcross times ever, but boy did I have fun!
We are going to all pitch in and get you a dash mounted compass for the course But hey that 402 did sound mean.
I took second palce in the SS class with the ZO6 the other guy with a Pewter coupe with slicks got me by about .50 seconds Hey I also went the wrong way one time on that course needed more marker cones.
It wasn't long after I killed bambi that a fellow vette owner asked if I had any venison is a joking way and the next thing ya know, BAM! Kerry has a Z06 to fix. You going auto-xing next weekend in Columbia?
My 402 is very strong. Still waiting for the rings to seat. I had a chance to put it on the dragstrip in bowling green at the cruise-in last week but only on street tires. my best was 11.9 at 121. I was really happy with the speed. I also auto-xed too and that was fun with all the power. I'm going to try to get to the auto-x next weekend so maybe I'll see ya there.

Happy with the trap speed.. I have a 03 Z06 with a K+N zip tie mod and ran 12.1 at 120.03 and a best of 11.80 at 119.67 with just spending$50.00 P.S. My friend just got his 402 back from the vette doctors and made only one pass with a trap speed of 130 + Big difference with a real 402.. great job VETTE DOC'S..

Ya know I read your comments above and it irritated me that you wring the pleasure someone is getting out of thier hard earned money spent on a hobby we love.
I should have left well enough alone and stopped after reading this post, but I read your history and (I am cleaning this up to protect my rating) you are either on someones payroll to post here or have a very vivid imagination. In either case you are extremely rude and manage to **** off everyone on every thread you post.
Be positive in your posts and provide encouragement to fellow forum members. When you boast of times be prepared to back it up with a time slip. All the crap about your friends car falls into the "One time at band camp" category.

Yes I am happy with my trap speed. It's a 6 mph difference to the good. I thought everyone knew that 6 speeds have better trap speeds than autos, but I guess not. This is the first time in years that I have been to the track with just street tires and I had know idea how to launch it and did not do a great job at all. I'm also sure speeds will be up at my home track. Every track I've run at is better that beech bend. I'm sure with my drag radials I'll have a 10 sec. car. Trap speeds don't really inpress me but times do.
I do agree with T-Bone. If you don't have anythying positive to add don't add anything at all. I'm sure the fine guys at Vette Dr.s would rather have their name left out of your bashing also.

Take care and take it easy

Joe, Trap speeds are a reflection of how much power your engine is making. ET is a reflection of how well or effeciently the power is put to the ground. If you are happy with your car and think it's the schiznic, that's all that matters. James

What track was that at? Beech Bend is a notoriously hardtrack to get good times out of. At a good track his times should be lower. Anything in the 11's is very fast anyway.
He was running @ Beach Bend, on street tires, on a green engine, in muggy air.
Put on some drag radials, let him have some miles to break it in, practice, and run it @ Atco or a similar fantastic air track & see that trap speed go way up.
BTW, my ZR-1s best times/traps are @ Beach Bend.
Man-oh-man, if I could only run @ Atco (or similar) myself w/ it...
