Default PINKS! at MIR June 9th

I've heard that PINKS! will have an elimination style event at MIR on June 9th. Anyone else going?

BFD. The guy that runs it is white trash and the video editing of the show is painfully amateurish.

Hopefully the "live" experience is more enjoyable.

It's hard to watch that guy. He's a tool. Some of the crap he tries to get people to agree to is astonishing. He acts like they are racing for 5 bucks when he tells them to agree, or "I'll award the cars right now". Maybe he should race his own car. I do like the "idea" behind the show though. Just think a different host may work better. While we're on the subject, they need to get rid of that *** Nathan too.

This is the new tournament style where they GIVE u cash and u can risk it against other racers. My car is too slow to make the show but I'll try to get some runs in anyway.

I plan on being there.

Actually I emailed the show and they do not have a planned ET range like they have done in the past like 10-second or 9-second. The plan is to look to get the closest grouping of cars so if there are a bunch of cars running close in the 12-second range then that is what they will go for.

Just a bit of a warning if you plan to attend..this is a taping for a television show and the day will be long but nonetheless, if you get on, you will have a chance for your "15-minutes of fame" and $10,000!!!

I attended a Pinks taping at Texas Motorplex, what an awesome day!! It wasn't the heads up run for cash but the Lose the Race/Lose Your Ride episode filmings!! It was a lot of fun and I will probably be seen in the crowd as the four episodes they taped will air this year. Great show, been a fan since the beginning They have taped the run for cash PINKS All out there last year, it airs on SPEED Channel occasionally!!! I ran my SKY Turbo Redline just for fun!! It was before I got my 'Vette!!

I was running 14.0/98 mph consistently all day, not bad for a 2.0L fourbanger/auto

Thanks for the info REDGAR. I would LOVE to make one of their brackets and go for the cash. I run a high 11 to low 12 avg but it's worth a shot anyway.

I dont mind Rich, he has to cut through lots of when people come up and ask for 25 car lengths on the first run. They are on a time schedule and no one wants to sit there and watch them argue over 1 carlentgh for 30 minutes. The sandbagging is outrageous and though it may look easy to sort through the I bet it's a lot harder when you are on a time restraint. For the most part those guys are fair, it's just some of the peices of junk on there that annoy me.
