I have an RPS segmented flywheel. It is a little harder to take off from a dead stop especially if you have a decent cam. The biggest problem is that the steel flywheel absorbs much of the drivetrain noise, the alum. one does not meaning you will hear ALL of the noises generated from the transmission thru the driveshaft to the flywheel. It drives me crazy! I even have tried several different gear lubes and am currently using Royal Purple Sycromesh. It quited it down the most. The good part is that it revs VERY fast, because it is half the weight, great for road racing! my $.02!
