Default NOS results

Went to a Dyno day and ended up taking 1st for High HP and got a trophy.
I installed the racetronix fuel pump and harness and decided to hook up the Nitrous. I ran the 100 shot jets and pulled 606 RWHP 581 RWTQ.
There was no tuning, I just installed jets and they watched the A/F throught the entire pass.

Heres is a copy of my original performance results post that must be too old because It doesnt show up anymore.

Heres a list of what is in my 01 C5 Coupe...

-LS2 Block w/ ARP main studs.
-Lunati Non-Twist 4.000" Stroke Crankshaft
-Callies Compstar 6.125" Forged 4340 Rods.
-Diamond Forged Pistons 4.000"
-Comp Cam 242/250, 112 .600 Lift
-Morel Lifters
-Rollmaster Double Roller LS2 Chain.
-AFR 225 Heads CNC'd w/ Hollowstem valves, Upgraded Springs, 65cc chambers. Flow 316/238 at .600 lift
-ARP LS2 Head Bolts.
-Cometic Head Gaskets .051
-Hardened Race Bearings.
-Heavily Ported LS6 Oil Pump and Shimmed Up for Max Pressure.
-FAST 90mm Intake (Ported by Tony Mamo)
-LS2 TB (Also done by Tony Mamo)
-MSD Wires
-Vararam Air Intake
-Stainless Works 1-7/8 Headers w/ 3" X-Pipe
-McLeod Street Twin Clutch
-McLeod Aluminum Flywheel
-RPM T-56 Transmission
-3.90 Differential w/ all internal goodies
-60 # Motrons

Dyno was done on Drag Radials and they only did a few pulls on it. It was on a Dynojet, it started getting late and they said the car was too loud they didnt want to do any more pulls until tomorrow. Engine was built by SLED28 and installed by Backstreet Performance.

520 RWHP 484 RWTQ
11.41 @ 124 on base tune w/ 1.9X 60 ft

I'd bet I can get a 10.9X N/A. My 11.41 was with my 1st tune which the car had no power under 3000 RPM. The rev limiter was set at 6600 so I was tapping the limiter on every shift. The tune now ables me to punch it from lower RPM's off the line and it takes off alot harder. I dont know how much there is to gain by letting the engine rev up in each gear another 300-400 RPM and not have the limiter hit. I dont have a cage in it so I most likely will only get one shot at the track so I better make it worth it

After doing some research I saw that with NOS you want your A/F to be around 11.5-12.0. My A/F N/A was 12.8-13.0 and they told me my air fuel was identical on the NOS compared to N/A and it was fine? Is it dangerous to run it on spray at those A/F ratios? Im running a NX wet kit with 52/33 Jets.

Try some 35 or 36 fuel jets...

I hope you aren't refering to nitrous as 'NOS', unless it's the NOS (N-O-S) brand of nitrous.

There was no tuning for the nitrous, I just installed the jets and tried it for the 1st time at a dyno day. I have the FAST dual wideband kit on it so there was a passenger watching it.

At your combined overall numbers you should be looking at about 11.2/11.5, a little richer than some, but safer. Also some race gas will give an additional amount of safety. watch that timing if going any bigger.

I forgot to mention earlier, I also got top spot at the local dyno shoot out, but on the winning pull I busted a ringland and had a melt down, but did reach 665rwtq at about 3600rpm. This was all on a stock longblock LS6.
