Default Cam or Spray???

Okay guys,
Thinking of either doing a Cam or adding a 100 hp wet shot.
I welcome your personal opinion on the subject.
I know I can get more power out of the nitrous kit, but the cam would have better power for everyday use.

What do you think horse power wise I could get out of a Cartek 2x or 3x cam only. Would I have to make other modifications to the car (i.e. springs... etc.)? Oh and the car is a daily driver at the moment.

Untuned the car put down 383 RWHP and 370 RWTQ
Car is a 2003 Z06

If it were me - I'd do the cam. No worries about running out of power (due to empty bottle)

Default spray

spray is fun but too much of a hassel. Every time we were scrambling to get the bottle filled. We did put the cam in first though..so we just took all the spray stuff off and now run 12.88 NA on our Silverado.

Go with the cam in my opinion. Check this 4200 lb heavy load out, then and just think what your 3100 lb Z will do (private old strip of course, not on the highway)!!!

Depends on what you want to do with the car. 1/4 mile? Spray. Road course? Cam. Being a hooligan on the street? Either or both.

Thanks to everyone for the posts.

I think I am going to go for the Cam.

What cam does eveyone recommend (with stock LS6 heads)? I would like to get as close to 440 RWHP as possible. The car is a daily driver, but I only drive about 6 miles to work and then on the weekends. I would like a nice Lobe (anti stealth).
Oh and it would see Track duty a couple times a month (1/4 mile).
Thanks again for all the help.

Geez, you're going to need a pretty huge cam to even get close to 440rwhp. You might be better off getting some nice heads and a less aggressive cam to hit that number. Also, a cam-only set-up for 440rwhp will probably be very soft down low and not all that fun to drive. You will also probably need a FAST 90 and other supporting stuff that adds up $$ quickly...

For a daily driver you can't go wrong with the 2X cam. I love how it drives on the street.

Did you install your cam first or doheads and cam at the same time. Just curious what RWHP/ trap speed one could get with this cam. (car would be C5 Z06 with headers and CAI) Any guesses?

Thanks
