What would potentially put my car into the High 11's - 1998 Coupe - A4
400 rwhp running on crappy run flats.
OR
363 rwhp running on Drag Radials.
I was quoted $1900.00 for the installation of Z06 heads - price includes the heads, which can get me to 400 rwhp with my current mods, but then I would be stuck with the crappy EMT's.
Or I can spend $500 or so on Drag Radials and stick with the 363 rwhp.
In my opinion, your going to need the Drag Radials in order to get a consistantly good enough 60ft time to put yourself in the 11 sec zone. Thats with or without the heads being installed, and the more power you make the harder it is going to be to launch the car.
Go over to the industrial park at Lake St. and Gary Ave. On Sunday when everything is closed I have a little back road in there I call my drag strip. I smoke the hard runcraps all the way through 1st and 2nd.
Then you've had fun impressing yourself, go home and have a few while sitting in the garage admiring your ride and the rubber all over the rear fenders.

Any thoughts?
Before you spend any more money on engine mods, you need to use the power that you have. Run flats will not do it. Get some drag radials or ET Streets, then work on making more power. A loose TC is essential to get an A4 car to run. What TC and gear you running right now?

DR's and practice, practice, practice should get you in the very low 12's with the set-up you have now.
I ran 11.80@117 with 3.42, 3000 vig, drag radials and 382 hp. Which track do you normally run at. Track prep and atmospheric conditions also play a big part in the equation.
