Turn off your traction control.

Launching the car...Bring the RPM's up to about 2500 RPM and then when you're ready to launch, release the clutch slowly (Slip the clutch) to get the car rolling and then lay into the throttle.
Don't dump the clutch, because you'll only spin the tires.

If the car bogs on the start, try bringing the RPM's up a little higher and then trying the same thing. Your main goal is to have the car just chirping the tires a little bit on the launch. With some Mickey Thompson Drag Radials, you'll be able to launch the car a little harder and at a higher RPM.

As far as shift points, this is going to Depend on how much power your making and your peak power RPM, this will help you decide your shift points.

For example, if your car is making peak power at 5800 RPM, you want to shift 150-200 RPM past 5800, so that the Revs will be almost back up to the peak and you'll stay in your powerband. If you shift too early or right at the peak RPM, the Rev's will drop a little lower on in the powerband making the motor take longer to build back up to the peak RPM, resulting in slower ET's.

Good Luck and let us know how you do.
