I changed the heads on my 2000 Vert to LS6 heads and the intake.
I also replaced the cam with a LS1-GT2-3 Lingenfelter cam. The car
ran like stock but seemed to have more torque without a tune so I
took it to Carolina Auto Masters and it had 326.7 rwhp and after tuning it had 339 rwhp. I have a problem with it dropping off at 6200 and Lingenfelter said my rockers are to heavy for my springs so I am putting stock rockers on with Z06 mufflers and shorty headers. CAM said it should then pull to 6500 and have around 375 to 385 rwhp. Not bad for a A4 starting out with 276 rwhp.

I was running Yella Terra Ultralights but going back to stock. Lingenfelter said they are to heavy for stock Z06 springs.

Back in the day when I was running the 2002 LS6 yellow springs with the Crane 1.8 ratio rockers and a Comp 224/228 .564 .569 it would pull to 6700 rpm with no problem. Your rockers are not the problem...either your springs are weak...or the cam sucks!!

most lpe cams are round on a 118.5 to improve idle... the cam you have is a 207/220...it isnt going to make power past 6k sorry...

Well Tim Dyer at Lingenfelter says that this cam's power band is from
1600 to 6600 rpm. I am talking to him to see if he thinks it is a bad set
of springs. I got the cam and springs from them as a kit.
My tuner also says that others with this cam pulls strong to 6500 rpm.

Was the cam degreed in properly when installed?

Everything was done right. It runs great and has good power. It just stops reving at 6200 and it should go to at least 6500. But when it
hits 6200 the rpm's fall straight down. The tuner said the rockers or the
springs are the problem because it pulls on the dyno from corner to corner going up until it hits 6200 and then drops. I guess I will be changing the springs next with some stronger ones. I asked about these
springs to start with because they are rated a .570 lift and the Cam is
.571 and .578 but Tim at Lingenfelter said they use them all the time as a kit. I guess I got a bad set.

i have a lpe 383...with the same cam/heads all done by lpe..if you dont belive me, install it..dyno it and watch the power curve nose dive just after 6k...just my .02

you will need a mid 220 to high 220 duration to rev to the mid 6's
