I took my 98 auto (3.15) C5 to the local 1/8mile track Friday night....
I was able to run a best of 8.71 @ 85 with a 2.10 60ft I was pretty happy considering the temp was in the high 80s as was the humidity...
Oh the only mods on the car are LS6 intake, flip tie mod,and bypass mod on the stock exhaust.
Any idea what that time would run out to be in the 1/4?
My bone stock auto fbody went 8.62 in the 1/8, I hoped the vette would be a little faster stock... I traded my mid 7s cammed WS6 for this car so I guess having a slow car will take some getting use to...
I do plan on modding the car so,it doesnt really matter,I do think a high 13 is awefully slow for an expensive sports car though..

Ran an 8.39/88.3mph and 12.84/110.5 mph. 60 was 2.1. See signature and mods for comparison. By my standards these cars are on the verge of being fast and it just takes money. In the mean time enjoy driving one of the neatest looking, best handling cars on the road.
Vettes aren't really set up for 1/4 mile racing, but they can do it damn well. Our cars will go 13.40's or better bone stock, all depends on the driver. Hell, my car could have gone 12.90's stock if someone else was driving it.
A supercharger is the goal for this car,Im sure with that amount of power Ill be happy..
I mean I have had several fast fbodys, but the looks and feel of the Vette are miles ahead.... We dont even have to get into the handling aspect of it....
