11.9@116 w/ 1.70 60' first qualifier. Shifting it very easy. Waaaaay hotter than the forecast said it was gonna be.
Second qualifier I knew I was going to have to drive the car hard. 1.60' and probably on pace for a high 11.6 and missed 3rd One of these days I'm going to go to Island and try and get used to powershifting with the new shifter.
I"m going to try to go down to the track this wednesday if i can to cecil and see what the car is doing and start brushing up on the shifting aswell. Everyone else is welcome to come on down and watch me run 11.5 LOL!

Yup, I think that is about the best those tires have left in them. I gotta order my new ones soon so I can run my 10 second pass this fall. I wanna see a 1.4x 60' this fall. A clean pass and I would have qualified. I just can't seem to make a clean pass when I need to.
What pisses me off even more is I can run thru the gears fine on the street just shifting at 3k but when I'm going to redline at the track I just miss them. Mental...thats all it is. I'm definitly hitting Island this Friday for some practice.

tell ya a fact...mine would power shift unbelievable under 4000 rpm but wouldn't shift near redline thru 2 different clutch's...now with the McLeod and same tranny...slick as glass.
No Pittman its mental for many reasons!!!! Let me shed some light on Nicholbags experiences in life....
1)dropped as a kid
2)ate paint chips as a kid...extra lead
3)made ugly faces and was slapped on the back
4)stepped on a crack and broke his momma's back
5)broke 4 mirrors and still has several years of bad luck to come
6)he used to think the dryer was a ride
7)got locked in a old refridgerator as a kid
8)snorted pixie sticks like cocaine
9)watched TV too close
10)did something else that helps you go blind

That is interesting. Any ideas as to why the clutch may have been causing some problems? I might have to try running the RPMs up on the street and seeing how it shifts.
The only reason I feel it is mental is because in the middle of last year I could not shift to save my life. After 2 rental days I finally got it all figured out the last day of the year at Atco. I made 6 passes between 11.20-11.24 and was shifting clean and consistant all day. I have the one video of my best from that day. Shifting was not perfect(could have been faster) but I was at least getting the car down the track.
Fast foward to this year........new shifter in the car and my whole routine is thrown off at the track. I actually only have 4 passes in 2 track days with it. If I shift at redline but lift and shift slow it is smooth as silk, powershift it and I miss. The Hurst and c6z are completely different when you are trying to powershift it. I am hoping I can get 10+ passes at Island Dragway this Friday and work out any kinks I have. I feel I can shift the c6z faster than the Hurst once I get in a grove. Whatever happens, I have to be on point this fall to break into the 10s. 430rwhp in a coupe doesn't leave much room for driver error.

I have no idea what was wrong with those RPS Stage4+ setups...they would not let it go in gear and the hotter they got the worse they were. This McLeod Twin is the key to mine if I can just............. LET THE CLUTCH OUT EASY !!
