I will,Please keep me posted if you have more vette track days. I have been talking to Jeff at Am HP and would love to see his as well as all the other vegas guys run !
We have one coming up October 4th. Supras and Vettes. I am sure some other cars like GN's and Stangs might be out there as well.
Ran my new best last night,10.73 at 131.xx with a 1.6 sixty !!! Now I know that pales to the nine sec vettes back east but let me note,DA was over 7000 last night, high humidity and 80deg temps. Buddies H/C Z06 ran 11.92 ! Lingenfelter 2 step works great, one less thing to worry about at the line. Cant wait to take it to Vegas and see what it turns there !
Im hoping to go in october, let me know when you are coming down here..Ill meet up with you
One more update as our track is now closed for the year ! Ran a little better Fri night,10.57 at 135 and 10.55 at almost 136 !!!. Then to top it off,the track/weather cooled down,I tried to lay down a 10.4x pass only to spin BADLY off the line, cutting a horrible 1.94 60 but rolling up 138 trap speed at the big end ! Car LOVES the cool air, wish we could run another month ! I am looking forward to next year and hope to get down to Vegas and see if I can somehow dip into single digits with the beast !
Oh,and as a side note,my buddy blew up his Mustang trying to chase down the vette,we had to tow it home on my trailer and I drove(after running 4 times) back the 40plus miles from the track to my house.Man I wished I would have got a picture of that, they arent going to hassle me anymore about trailering my car to the track !
Haha, way to go! Got your stuff fixed up FAST and ran some nice numbers. Those match my best times at sea level! I'll be in trouble if you ever come down here. Got to bury the Ford doing it, heh everyone has their day.
I hope to get one last shot at Test n Tune if the weather holds for one of the next 2 weekends, but this weekend forceast is rain. Not expecting too much, because I think my 4th is hurt. It feels funny going into gear at any speed.

Mine just had a cracked synchro, didnt want to risk damage to a good trans. I am going to have a hard time waiting til spring,I wonder how much sooner Vegas opens up than we do ? I would love to bring the car back east and try to run with you guys, perhaps one day.Good luck with your final track days for the year, enjoy and be careful.
Yeah, it would be nice to have a climate where there tracks are open all year!
Was it difficult to change the synchro, or did you take it somewhere? I've never messed with the tranny, but wondering if I should send mine to get freshened up.
I'm up in the Seattle/Tacoma area, in Turbo Tech's backyard!

I have a buddy right around the corner that owns a tranny shop(we do the whole Vegas Nascar weekend together) so I put it on the hoist, popped it out and ran it over to his place.Took him about 1/2 hr to split it and confirm what we both figured, then thanks to TJ at RPM, I had new billet keys and bronze shift pads in hand before the new synchro showed up from GM .We popped the rear open, pulled the diff apart to inspect the output shafts while we had the trans out, everything looked OK there.Fresh fluid, button it all back up and quick test drive to make sure all gears were smooth(wife took it ! ) and all set ! Pulling these trans/diffs on a hoist is NOT a big deal,I think I can do them quicker than F-bodies ! As far as where you are at,I would love to hang out up near there,I am afraid my bank account would suffer greatly being that close to their shop !
What kind of tires are you all running and getting this wheel hop?
On the other z we race,we had problems with wheel hop on MT DR,275/17s on my car it simply blew the tires away under anything more than 3 psi boost(maybe just our track prep) switched to MT ET streets on both cars and have not had any issues until last week on mine.slight problem with 14 psi, aired down to 12 OK.Realigned rear (whole car,but I played with rear toe mainly) 1/8" toe out on rear as I was seeing some weird scuffing on the tread and my spotter at the line noticed the car was forcing the rear tires towards the front of the rear wheelwells, aggravating toe in(I suspect) and causing scrub instead of a clean even launch.I have a set of pfadt bushings ordered that I hope will help with this issue, and remember,I am just a rookie,I have VERY little experience compared to most guys here.Take all this with a grain of salt, talk to some of the guys that race regularly.

I was wondering because I didn't want to run into these problems. I am running ET Streets and I spin just a little off the line. I am sure you are making alot more power then me...So I am interested in the rear alignment and 1/8" toe you are talking about.....can you describe it better for me please, we could take this to PM if you want to keep the thread on topic!
awesome times with your setup. just wondering if this was on pump gas, meth, or race and how much power were u making with the setup at the track.
50/50 premium and 112 leaded racing fuel. No Meth(yet) No NOS(loaned my bottle to a buddy) 18 psi boost, made 797 at 17psi on a Mustang dyno last year,690 at 12 psi on dynojet this year after switching to a 2 BAR tune. Dont have a current 18psi dyno, but once the new heads are on,I will probably update.
How far into the 10's do you have to be to be concidered part of the 10 sec club?
I guess technically,10.99 ??? My first runs were 10.72 and 10.68 ones. Car hovered at 11.2x for a little while as I was not willing to turn up the boost until I had the 2BAR tuned completely with WB data and some full dyno pulls to confirm AFRs as well as inj duty cycle and fuel system capabilities. May sound lame, but I have too much invested in my car to burn it up first time out. Car is at 10.5x now and I am confident my last pass would have been 10.4x with the cooler air/138 trap speed. Simple math tells me the car should be low 10s if I drop my 60s down, still only cutting high 1.6x but I am going to work on that.Next years goal is VERY low 10s,hopefully high 9s. Everyones gotta dream right !

Well I am hoping to pull at least a 10.99 at the track day we have coming up. I was able to pull an 11.09@125 with the temp out side over 90 degrees. I think my car was pulling timing. It has cooled down now and the track is supposed to be preped better this time I wish my car had the capabilities your does! I'm still running on the stock LS1, to include the intake, in my car.......when I get the money saved up I am going 408 nitrous motor!!!

Do you have any vids?
Sounds like you are just about there ! I tell you,my first run was the best, looking at that 10.72 made me shake so bad I could barely shift the car ! I will post a couple vids in a seperate post.
