I got a new best 60' time of 1.326 at Carolina Dragway. I am still having vavle train issues so the overall ET and especially the mph is not there yet. I ran 10.001@133.42, 10.061@132.43, 10.015@132.66 and 10.020@135.21. Last time I ran there in similar conditions I was running 9.94-9.97 at 135-137 with 1.340-1.347 60' times, so the fact that I am losing power above 5800 rpms is really affecting the top end speed. I will get it figured out soon though.
Is Bogart still making the 16" rear rims? I know they just came out with 17" fronts. Seems like alot of people are going to the Hoosiers. Do you know how they compare to ET Streets?

Rob, are you running QA1's now?
Call Steve at SJM manufacturing and he can steer you in the right direction concerning the Bogarts. Make sure and tell him that I recommended him. The Hoosiers are a big improvement in traction over the ET Streets at these power levels. At lower power levels, the ET Streets may be sufficient.
Thanks I will give them a call. What size Hoosiers are you running? I agree with the power level comment. I am assuming we are around the same power since we both trap 136+. But I have a 6sp which is much harder to hook. The ET's are just not cutting it by any means. I am only running 10.5's though which have a 8.4" tread width. A 11.5 might help but if there is simply a better tire that might be the way to go. I am pretty sure I only need a 1.4x 60ft to get into the 9's so that is the goal.

Hoosier makes a 28x10x16 (pn 18153) which is what John sells with the CCW drag pack. I assume that you are running 16" rims. That is the only slick that Hoosier offers in a 16" size. The tread width is a full 10.0" which is far better than the ET Street with 8.4" of tread width. The only question is whether you are making enough torque to pull the 28" tall tire. Once again, I am assuming the you are running a 26" tall tire.

If I was going to run the 28" tire I would have to go with a 4.10 gear for sure. That would be the same as a 26" tire and 3.90's. Both will let me trap 140 on motor. The 28" would kill me now on stock gears. I just got some new dyno numbers today that I am going to post up but I am making 530rwtq from 4,500-5,000 and over 500rw from 4,200-6,000. Is that near what you are running?

Great dyno numbers. Remember that you have a manual transmission and I have an auto so there will be some difference due to parasitic losses with the auto. I'm not exactly sure what I am making as I did a leak-down test on my engine today to try to find out where my mph loss is coming from. I discovered that one cylinder is lossing 50%. So I ran 1.326 and 10.00 and 135 with that much loss. Can't wait to get it fixed and see what I run then. Last time I dynoed this engine it made 545rwhp and 500rwtq.
