Default 60 ft time

I was able to manage a 1.44 60' time today (my best 60' ever). However, I missed the 3 to 4 shift (put it in 6th) and broke the air tube in one of the headers so I was sidelined for the rest of the day. It had the makings of new PB, probably a very low ten. I have another rental coming up in a few weeks so we'll see if we can put it all together.

Good job Tom, you were really shifting well on that pass... until the 3-4. You would have deff had a new PB

Tom,
That was a great 60'. Let's see what you can put together at the next rental.

That Textralia Exoskel clutch is working great. No worries there.
Unfortunately that defective header you bought keeps ruining your day.
Time to upgrade.

I should have fixed the air tube when I had the chance back a few months ago. Its amazing what a hose clamp and some furnace cement can do eh? I guess I'll have spend some money now?

Nice launch ...while low 10s are more likely, there's still a potential 9.99 in that car ya know.

It can be repaired Tom, it might not look the best but a good welder can get that thing as good as new with no loss of performance. It's WAY cheaper than buying new headers and then selling these now damaged ones at a major loss.

I feel bad for Tom.
This was the day he was looking forward to since the spring.
He did have it welded and this may be the third time it ruined his whole day. That's expensive in itself. Plus I know he also took off work.
$200 for 1/2 pass just for friday.
He should have received new headers for free when it first happened. They were brand new, I assume.

Rob, got a set of American Racing headers coming this week. Hopefully, I'll get them installed by the weekend.

Good deal Tom! Sorry for the shut-down. Very frustrating when that happens. I've had my share of weirdness at the track.
Like the time my Poland Spring catch can acted up...
You running on the 5th?

My headers are about 4 years old, they were installed back when I had the Head and Cam done in 2004. For some reason when the air system is disconnected there seems to be problems with cracking around the tubes. So, since I wanted to go to the 1 7/8 anyway, I figured now is the time to do it.
