She had so many layers on she was getting warm out there.

I thought the biggest benefit of the proshifted trans was getting down the track w/o the cluch. Knocks a considerable amount of time off your ET.

Anyway.... Nick, we'll have to line up again. I caught crap on the way home. I was really focusing on launch RPM and didn't even pay attention to the lights. I looked up and you were gone!

If you go with the Tick Master, there is a good write-up on LS1Tech that Chris Stewart did.
I may have taken you off the line but you blew by me halfway down the track. Man that car flys.

It's amazing how many people think that.

Read the last few sentences of this link:

http://www.libertysgears.com/proshift.htm

Also the only tranmissions you can shift without a clutch are upwards of $8000. Here's a link:

I thought all you needed to use was a slipper clutch and away you go.

I know there are some in my area that are using some type of proshifted trans w/ a slipper clutch and shifting it without the clutch. I'm pretty sure they aren't spending 8k on them either.

You also tree'd the crap outta me as well on that one pass but I kind of caught ya unfortunately.

That run against you yesterday (time slip farthest to the right, below) netted me my new best quarter mile pass ever, thanks dude.

Actually being very aggressive and no regard to the cost of my replacement transmission you could easily shift a Fox body mustang T5 without the clutch. Thats how I picked up my shifting habits. If you weren't fast with it, it didnt go. Slightly crunch and it made one heck of a difference on ET. Back then dropping from a 13.6 to a 13.3et and going from 101 to 104mph was interesting. Hell I thought that little bit was worth it too at the time. WHAT A RETARD!!!!!!

Nick something just doesnt add up. The car is missing something or getting some serious knock retard at the track only????? IS THAT POSSIBLE? I'll talk to you on AIM about some things I was thinking about that i dont want to start anything in here. Good job this year anyways and we'll get it next year I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!!!!!! Even if i have bring your sorry butt up my way for a weekend, start friday nite at cecil practicing and go all out on saturday. You can stay here and we'll get that car JUST RIGHT FOR THE TRACK!!!!

I was wondering the same thing about knock or something. The dyno shows what its making in 4th with no load on the dyno. I wonder what is going on as I go dow the trck. Thats why I want to log a run.

Last dyno was last week and it made 434/390. In the spring it made430/399. Last fall(before Fast 90 went on) when I went 11.20@123 it made 419/397.

When I went 11.20 it was 3330 with me in it. 3130 without me. I estimate it was roughly 3080 without me and 3280 with me yesterday.

Interesting. I used your time slip above where you ran 11.487 at 121.89 and put it into an online calculator. Here is what I got:

This one adds the weather into the equation.
Your HP is 416 from your ET
Your HP is 449 from your MPH
Your HP Correction Factor is 0.98
Your Grains of water is 11
Your DA (Density Altitude) is -1,631 feet
Your Altitude Density Index is 104.9 percent

This one is simply ET and MPH related to HP (no weather considerations):
Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 351.27 rear wheel HP and 390.30 flywheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 417.02 rear wheel HP and 463.36 flywheel HP

I would pay attention to the ones using MPH rather than ET. Our cars do not do very well with the ET calculators especially if there are issues like your clutch problems.

http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm

As a point of reference, here is my best pass ever. My last dyno showed 595rwhp
Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 554.78 rear wheel HP and 616.42 flywheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 597.85 rear wheel HP and 664.84 flywheel HP.
