With A@@'s great deal on monday I went and paid for 1 to be installed by them in a week or 2.
My car is a 2000 stock auto thats a daily driver and needs a lil body work lol. I drive it 2-4 days a week to work in California at around 10k miles a year.
Anyways I was wondering what I should be expecting on performance.
I dont plan on running it at the track much but I'd love to be able to walk, slowly, away from a stock C-6 or say a Shelby Mustang on a roll of 50+. What do you think I'm gonna need to do more on my car for this? I am about to put a little bling on the car with slotted rotors/calipers powerdercoated in the same color but could have the guys at A@A throw on some 3.42 gears if yall think I need them, No I really dont no what gears I have now but I'm sure they arent 3.42 and so far I have read anything more than that is just gonna make me slide around without slicks.
1/4 mile time, horsepower, top end thoughts would be nice also if your really bored
2000 A4s came with either a 2.73 axle (standard) or a 3.15 performance axle. I would think that with the Vortech you'd have no trouble walking away from either a C6 or a Shelby. The only problem you might have is that "walk away" may not be very slow.

No need to go any higher than 3.15 on the gears. You might want to change the T/C to one with a higher stall speed to take advantage of the increased torque. At 7 psi of boost you should be around 500 plus RWHP depending on the tune and injector size etc. If you want to go a little higher change to the Z06 cam with either comp or manley springs add some headers change the pully to give about 10 psi boost and you'll be up around 600 hp.

Thanks guys.
The "walk" will be easy from the stock Shelby (that can actually be done with bolt ons)
If you're installing a centrifugal SC, then the 3.42 and a stall (to get to boost quickly) will take care of pretty much ANY stock car you'll encounter
I just bought the A&A Vortech V-3 Si trim kit for a 2000 A4 as well.
I am having FLP do the install and tune. FLP said that with a real safe tune I should see an honest 450rwhp.
I decided to upgrade the trans now as opposing to wait till it's toast. I ordered a FLT Level 4 and plan on going with a Precision Industries Vigilante converter. Precision is closed till the 5th so I am not sure what stall yet. I want to go with something like a 2400-2600 stall. I know I will be leaving some on the table but I am looking for real tame drivability.
BTW my car has 3.15 ratio as well.

The Yank SS3200 was designed for 3.15 gears. It's very tight, is not loose, and, in idle, will creep in both Drive and Reverse. It's a great driver. You won't even feel the difference until you hit the loud pedal. Keep in mind that Vigilante under-states the stall speed on their converters and a 24-2600 is probably closer to 3000+. Have a ball with your new setup!
